About the Event
Part 1: July 17th at 8am
Preface to Chapter 6
As a follow-up to our Antiracism discussions, the Breakfast Club is dedicating the next 3 sessions to "The Color of Law" by Richard Rothstein. As we make our way through the book, we will dissect systemic racism and learn how we might begin to dismantle and rectify decades of intentional racist policies at local, state, and federal levels.
Based on the amount of interest, we may shift to small group virtual sessions (all on the same day and time), so please RSVP so that we may plan accordingly. If you are unable to get your hands on a copy of the book, please reach out to us, and we will provide access; if you are unable to finish the reading for each session, we still encourage you to join the discussions.
To make the most of each hour session, we will send out discussion topics ahead of time with the Zoom meeting links, so please come with your thoughts, questions, anecdotes, and resources ready to share.
