W+iD Happy Hour with PWWG & POH

 Event Recap:

The July WiD+ event was a partnership of Pieper O’Brien Herr and PWWG Architects and was hosted by the James Gallery.  The event was centered around the idea of storytelling as women shared their own stories to enlighten and empower one another.  Jennifer Szczesniak, Victoria Acevedo, Julie Polletta, Parva Markiw, and Anastasia Markiw each presented stories that were unique to themselves, yet accessible, relatable, and familiar to those in the crowd. 

Participants were encouraged to share “#herstory” at a station that collected the personal statements of the women in attendance, focusing on their lives as women in the workplace, and projected them in the gallery during the event.  This gave everyone an opportunity to share and be a part of the conversation.
