About the Event
In 2020, the architecture students at the University of Pittsburgh launched the Design Justice Initiative, a call to action for the school to address systemic inequities in architectural education. Supported by the History of Art and Architecture Department, this initiative is already starting to reshape the face of how students and faculty understand what design is and can be. As an organization whose primary focus is building equity in the design profession, Women+ in Design PGH is thrilled to connect to Pitt and the students leading this effort. We are equally excited to have Syracuse University's Women in Design join this conversation!
Please join us for this invigorating and timely conversation about how we can build equity together, meaningfully connecting our academic institutions to the industry to ensure that the passionate and dedcated efforts on both sides can fuel positive, sustainable change.
